A quick look at one simple way to use room enhance the intimacy, energy, and impact of a presentation through room layout, if you’re using a theater-style layout at your conference, sales meeting, or corporate event.
Below is a traditional theater style layout (traditional in the sense that this is how theater style has been interpreted in the context of live events). It’s a great way to place full focus on a live presentation, and has the major advantage that, unlike seating an event audience in rounds, everyone is naturally facing the speaker.

Here is a step-up from the traditional theater-style layout, the advantages of which I first saw articulated by Swiss magician, author, and lecturer Roberto Giobbi:

By placing the rows on a gentle arc, not unlike the model of ancient amphitheaters, each row of guests is brought physically closer to the action; dramatically increasing the sense of intimacy and connection.
This is a phenomenal layout to consider when using corporate event entertainment, especially with small groups of 15-100 attendees.
The same approach can be adapted to classroom-style layouts (involving small work tables) to create greater energy and connection during educational and working sessions.
The Best is Yet to come!
