From Auckland, New Zealand to Little Rock, Arkansas; from Hollywood to San Antonio; from Nashville to Barbados; 2018 was a wonderful year of performing. Here’s a look back at some of my favorite imagesfrom this year.
While providing headline entertainment on Holland America Line’s flagship the Amsterdam in French Polynesia, I opened my window to this jaw-dropping view and fell in love with this island through a day of exploring.
June found me performing 21 shows as a featured performer at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles. One of these shows is captured in my performance film Inside The Magic Castle.
I Loved exploring this junkyard with LA based magician Mark Paskell:
During the run, Academy of Magical Arts official photographer Taylor Wong captured this moment of pure joy and amazement on the faces of two on-stage volunteers, during a moment of magic that occurs entirely in their hands while I am seated in the audience.
Speaking of pure joy and amazement, I loved the expressions on the face of this young fan during a performance at Pepin Centre in Tampa, Florida. It was a thrill to get to bring my show back to the city where I grew up.
The joy and wonder wasn’t just for kids that night:
2018 saw two appearances in Little Rock, Arkansas, both serving as emcee for different technology conferences in the city. I spent a few happy hours in the Old Statehouse Museum which is home to a crazy eclectic collection that seems to have no central theme other than “here’s some cool stuff.” And cool stuff it is.
